Texas 4-H follows UIL guidelines and all participants at competitive events must be academically eligible to participate. Here in Comal County we determine eligibility based upon the declaration of eligibility form completed by the parent and the school. The form must be completed for each child for each event. This applies to all children attending a public, private, charter, magnet, or home school. If we don't have proof of eligibility prior to the event your child is entered in, the event host will be contacted and the child will not be allowed to compete.
The parent will fill out the highlighted areas (example below) and submit to their child’s school. We need to have the approved form sent/brought back to us at least 1 week before the event. You may fax, email, or bring in the completed form to us. Fax is 830-620-3446 or email to comal-tx@tamu.edu.
The form is not available on our website nor on 4honline. We will email the form to members registered on 4-H Online or you may contact the office for the form. We will not accept forms from previous years.
