Eligibility Requirements

As the stock show season approaches, we want to make sure everyone is aware of the requirements for eligibility to participate in contests as 4-H members. Texas 4-H follows the UIL guidelines and all participants at competitive events must be academically eligible to participate. Here in Comal County we determine eligibility based upon the declaration of eligibility form completed by the parent and the school. The form must be completed for each child for each event. This applies to all children attending a public, private, charter, magnet, or home school. If we don't have proof of eligibility prior to the contest your child is entered in the contest will be contacted and the child will not be allowed to compete.
