The 4-H Fashion and Interior Design contest rules and guidelines for 2022-23 have been updated and are available on the Fashion & Interior Design website. As you will see in the guidelines, there have been very few changes.
As a reminder these changes are for the Texas 4-H State contests; district contest rules may vary.
Fashion Show – Construction, Buying and Natural Fiber
- Updated description of
Semi-formal to Formal in both construction and buying.
- Paperwork was changed
last year and as a reminder construction paperwork requires a photo of a
construction detail along with a description of the technique.
- Clarification on
competing in Fashion Show construction and buying and in one of the
Fashion Show Natural Fiber categories.
- Participants may compete in a Fashion Show Buying or Construction category and in a Fashion Show Natural Fiber wool/mohair or cotton category at the Texas 4-H Roundup if they finished first at the district contest in their respective categories. Participants may enter the same garment, or they may enter different garments based on the individual category guidelines.
