State Fair animal validation tags - Due April 15
This is the time to order your Validation Tags for swine, lamb & goat livestock projects you will be raising for the 2021 State Fair of Texas.
Please fill out the appropriate tag order form (link below) and
either mail payment to the office or use the locked drop-box by the office
front door. Our mailing address is 325 Resource Dr., New
Braunfels, TX 78132.
All tags ordered before 5pm on April 15th will cost $18 each.
All Late Tag Orders will cost $30 each.
Note: New this year
breeding sheep and goats must be validated for the State Fair of Texas

Alternative Livestock Show Update
The Alternative Show has been approved as a
sanctioned show by Texas AgriLife, Texas FFA, State Validation and Quality
Counts. For further information regarding the show in general, the entry
process and other information can be found in the Alternative Pig Show Online
Premium Document which can be referenced using the link below.

4-H Swine validation will be held at the Extension Barns on Nov. 16 from 3:30pm-6pm.

Any person coming on the grounds for validation must fill out this form and return to the Extension Office on or before November 16 to comal-tx@tamu.edu.
Swine Tags for Major Livestock Shows
To help with consistency and record keeping this year, we are introducing order forms for tag orders. No orders will be finalized without both the form and FULL payment. Orders are due directly to the extension office by Monday, September 21st @ 5pm.
Tags purchased after September 21 will be $30/animal.
You can submit the form and payment to the Extension Office by dropping them off in the black box by the front door or by appointment with the Extension Office (please call prior to arrival). You can also mail the form and payment to 325 Resource Dr., New Braunfels, TX 78132. It is your responsibility to make sure the mail arrives before the due date.
We are open 8-12 and 1-5, Monday through Friday.
**Validation will be some time in November - date TBA**

Swine Project opportunity
HLSR Kids:
We know you’ve worked hard! We know the time put in and we can imagine how you feel right now. We want to help as much as we can with making this a better situation.
John and Brandi Weaver - Stepz All Star Gym & Busy B’s Cleaning Services will buy one project hog for $4000
Interested students please write a brief letter about yourself and your hog! Tell us about your time showing and what the experience means to you!
We will receive emails until next friday March the 20th and then award the $4000 to the winning letter as it will be voted on by ourselves and our staff. The winner will be announced on Facebook Tuesday March the 24th.

Swine Project opportunity
HLSR kiddos!!! Texas Building Controls will buy one project hog for $3500. All the interested students needs to do is write a brief letter about themselves and their hog and what livestock showing means to them. We will receive emails until next friday March the 20th and then award the $3500 to the winning letter as voted on by our management team. The winner will be announced on Facebook Tuesday March the 24th. Please send letters to accounting@texasbuildingcontrols.com
